The people of Stockport and surrounding areas are having a wasted journey this Bank Holiday Weekend as the photos above show. This, of course, is owing to the recent unexpected closure of Oakfurnitureland at the Peel Centre in Stockport. They do have signs in the windows informing customers of their nearest stores which are over 25 miles away.

thought you may like to know that the store in question has moved to far better premises in Bolton at the Reebok retail park. the only reason they purchased right price furnitures name wss for the high ranking on google which puts them top of the tree. oak furnitureland and rightprice furniture are now the same company. they sold £27m online last year so must be doing something well... biying direct from chinese factories and selling direct to the end user.. they also sell on ebay and have a 100% feedback of over 56,000
